ProfitMesh Privacy Policy

ProfitMesh is a bookkeeping app for people who resell items online. It is made by Northline Studio LLC ("Northline," "we," "us"). This policy explains what ProfitMesh collects, why we collect it, where it is kept, and how you can export or delete it.
The short version
- No ads, no tracking tools and no third-party analytics.
- We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
- Your records are yours. You can export everything at any time and delete your account from inside the app.
What we collect
Sign-in
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier from them and store it so we can recognize you. Apple or Google may also send your name or email address. We do not store them.
Marketplace connections
When you connect eBay (and, later, other marketplaces that offer official access), the marketplace gives us a token that lets ProfitMesh read your sales and fees. We store that token encrypted, use it only to read your data, and never see or store your marketplace password. We also store your marketplace account ID so we can match the marketplace's account deletion notices.
Your sales and fees
This comes from the marketplaces you connect, the sales reports you choose to import, and sales you enter yourself. It includes order numbers, item titles and SKUs, sale dates, prices, fees, shipping costs, refunds, payouts, sales tax, and the state an item shipped to. We do not keep buyers' names, usernames, email addresses or street addresses.
What you add
Item costs, photos of items and receipts, expenses, mileage trips and notes.
Service logs
Our servers record request times, the page or feature requested, and error codes so we can keep ProfitMesh secure and working. These logs do not contain your name, email, marketplace IDs or tokens, and they are deleted automatically after a few days.
We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising IDs or activity outside the app.
How we use it
We use your information only to run ProfitMesh for you: to calculate profit, build your sales tax records and tax summary, keep the service secure, and answer you when you contact us. We do not use it for advertising.
If we later add optional AI reading of receipts, it will stay off unless you turn it on, and this policy will name the company that processes the image before the feature is released.
Where it is stored
Your account and records are stored on Cloudflare's servers, which run ProfitMesh for Northline. Data is encrypted in transit, and marketplace tokens get an extra layer of encryption. The app also keeps a copy on your phone so you can work offline.
Who we share it with
- Companies that run ProfitMesh for us: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), plus Apple and Google (sign-in and subscriptions). They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Marketplaces you connect: only to read your own data from them. ProfitMesh does not change anything in your marketplace accounts.
- When the law requires it, or to protect ProfitMesh and its users from fraud or abuse.
- If Northline is sold or merged, your information would move with the business under this policy.
We never sell your information.
Payments
Subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google. We never receive your card number.
How long we keep it
We keep your records while your account is open. When you delete your account in the app, we delete your records from our database right away, and they are gone from our backups within 30 days.
If you disconnect a marketplace, we stop syncing and cancel ProfitMesh's access with that marketplace. The records already imported stay in your account until you delete them, because they are your bookkeeping records. If a marketplace tells us an account was deleted, we delete all data we received from that marketplace for that account.
Tax rules often require keeping business records for at least three years, so export your records before you delete your account.
Your choices
- Export all of your records at any time, on every plan.
- Correct any record in the app.
- Disconnect a marketplace at any time.
- Delete your account and its data from the app's settings.
- Ask us anything about your data at privacy@profitmesh.app.
Children
ProfitMesh is for adults running a resale business. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We protect your information with encryption, limited access and careful logging. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For a significant change, we will also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
